TrainingA802 - AVAYA ETHERNET ROUTING SWITCH (4500-5500-5600 SERIES) ADVANCED ADMINSTRATION AND CONFIGURATION Price: $2,995 Canadian (plus applicable taxes) Course Description With lectures and hands-on labs, this advanced course covers topics that include all of the content of the basic 2 day course; switch administration and management via NNCLI and Java Device Manager, Physical layer aggregation, resilient Flexible Advanced Stacking Technology (FAST), failover and trunking concepts such as Multi Link Trunking (MLT), Distributed MLT (DMLT), Layer 2 concepts such as VLAN’s, Spanning tree protocol and routing. The third day consists of layer 3 reselient design using virtual routing and redundancy protocol, Split Multi Link Trunking (SMLT), as well as the routing protocol Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). The third day also encompasses students learning about managing Power Over Ethernet and Avaya’s simplified VoIP edge deployment technocolgy; Auto Detect Auto Configure (ADAC). Intended Audience Technical support personnel who are required to maintain a network consisting of Avaya Ethernet Routing Switches 4500-5500-5600 series. The advanced course will provide technical support personnel with the necessary skills to build advanced, highly resilient and redundant Layer 3 stacks. The third day will also include advanced VoIP terminology and labs. Prerequisite Skills The prerequisites for this course are a practical understanding of Layer 2 and 3 protocols; and experience with networking infrastructure products including bridges, switches, and routers.
